Living Word Baptist Church has been in Marana for over 70 years.

​We are here to serve! We are here to stay! Our commitment to Marana is to deliver the Word of God in true form, apart from denomination, tradition, or culture. We stand with Christ, and this church is unified in that commitment.  We are excited to have new pastor and a new leadership team. Pastor Scalmato has served the Baptist churches for years  as a volunteer. He holds a Doctorate in Biblical Exposition and an MBA.

 

​Soon after our pastor was installed, an arsonist burned down the sanctuary building. In the interim, we are holding services in our fellowship hall located just next door. We are currently constructing a new sanctuary building; a new sanctuary for a new generation! So, this is the perfect time to come grow with us. Come help us write the next chapter in our history!

 

Our services are filled with lively preaching, reverent worship, laughter, and lots of potlucks. We have plenty of room for the kids. The sermons are organized, easy to understand, and they are grounded in evidence. And because scripture does not exist in a vacuum, much of what we teach touches on world history and current events. Every sermon and every Bible study is designed to be practical, and applicable to daily living. Living Word Baptist Church is committed to excellence in everything that is taught and sung in this church. We are committed to the best of service to our Savior and Lord.
